About Edie Hancock

Sound Advice - Experienced Representation

Philosophy

Edie Hancock (she/her)

The Realtor

I joined the Halifax/Dartmouth Real Estate Board in 1983 and have been a consistent top producer and award winner ever since. My area of expertise includes all Halifax downtown neighbourhoods, as well as a 45 minute radius from the city - which is invaluable for those wanting a more rural lifestyle.

Every transaction is an exciting challenge - no matter what the price range. You can count on my solid experience and sound advice, with a no nonsense approach. I am apart of an established referral network with other realtors across Canada, including a close connection with the military. I have experienced representation at both ends of a relocation and understand the special needs and concerns of those moving interprovincially or internationally.

Sutton Group Professional Realty is a proud member of the BBB of the Maritimes and holds the coveted ISO designation.

The Person

A resident of the historical Hydrostone area in Halifax for many years I know the conveniences of being close to so much that midtown and downtown living offers.

As a previous resident of Mineville, a 25 minute drive from downtown, I also know the obvious advantages of living outside the city too. There are many fabulous beaches, lakes for kayaking and swimming, great hiking trails, bird watching and more either in your backyard or just moments away.

My personal interests include the performing arts, fine arts, ethnic cooking and international travel. As a hobby and as a quiet balance in my life I enjoy oil painting. I have a standard poodle and an Abyssinian cat and they rule the house.

My volunteer work includes:

  • Past President of Youth Alternative Society, NS Dept of Justice
  • Conflict Resolution Mediator with Youth Alternative Society
  • Fundraising with the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Youth Project
  • Current President of The Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts Association.
  • Former Executive Committee member of the Board of Directors for the Maritime Conservatory of the Performing Arts. (2020)
